While emphasis will be given to Texas ADR and Texas legal organizations, other organizations are listed to provide research or professional resources to our membership. Please note that not all listed state bar associations have ADR sections or committees. Those state bars are included in anticipation that their organizations will eventually add ADR sections or committees. Many of the sites listed below have extensive collections of essays on mediation and arbitration. Because of the vast number of ADR essays on the Internet, no effort will be made to repeat the site links to essays here.

Community dispute resolution centers (or mediation centers) are available in most of the major population centers in Texas. The dispute resolution centers vary in administrative structure, but generally rely on cooperative efforts between the Commissioners Court, citizen advisory boards and the local Bar Association.
